Hey!
I am Clemens, Founder of Camphire, and I am sharing the professional experience I have here.
In 2022, I did an internship at a small retail consulting company. My task was using GIS (Geographical Information Systems) to create maps & Excel for CSV. It was as boring as it sounded haha. I only had two coworkers. I didn't make a connection with neither of them. It was so depressing. Np conversations, no happiness, nothing. Only thing by boss ever asked me at exactly 12 am: "Shall we have a game of table football?" - That was all the conversation I had with him. Lost every time as well haha.
After 8 weeks the internship was over and I swore to myself to never become an intern again if it involves only having stupid & repetitive tasks.
I was afraid that work is like that and that this could be the resst of my life - like if life would end after being a student.
But here is a good thing: At least I got paid 500€ per month. Like 3€ per hour! A lot of other university student didn't get a penny.
Have you ever done an internship?
How did it go for you?
